! use of “the Lord” 3 times
! indicative of the Trinity Father, Son , Holy Ghost
! Eccle 4:12 a three fold cord—depicts defense not easily broken
! 2 Corin 13:14–(13HCSB) talks as well of the trinity
! God the father bless you & keep you
! God the Son make His face to shine on you
! God the holy Spirit lift up His countenance and give you peace

Numbers 6:22-27
! Note the use of Lord 3 times
! Its always----the Lord to do it
! like the lady and the groceries----God provided and got the devil to pay for it
! we cant question HOW the LORD does it
! be guilty of grumbling

Blessing from Christ
! blessing comes from God all good things do
! the Bless-er is the Lord Jesus
! just as Aaron was given the blessing as a representative of God , so does Jesus
! Heb 5 shows that Aaron was a foreshadow of Jesus-----in charge of blessing the people on behalf of God
! Luke 24:50-51 Christ ascended to the Father, He blessed His People
! His nail pierced hand lifted over us all
! blessing us all

Blessing with authority
! in the name of the Almighty
! not taking His name in vain

Blessing according to our Needs
! The Lord Bless you—implies life blessings spelled out in Deut 28 and for us today in Ephes 1—3
! The Lord Keep you–watch over you to hedge about, exercise great care over
! The Lord make His face shine on you–soak in the sunshine, the light , the joy and enthusiasm of being close to God
! The Lord be gracious to you—kind, beneficent forgiveness is prominent we have to forgive




! The Lord lift up His countenance upon you----His favor His smile to look at you pleasingly—facial expressions......Cains countenance fell
! The Lord give you Peace----Hebrew it is shalom inner peace not meaning not at war

So you see –it is The Lord that pronounces blessings on His children
! gives them the richest gifts of the Trinity
! hold His nail scarred hands over us
! he says the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine on you , lift up His countenance on you and give you peace
! therefore we CAN say goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life
! that's why we say THIS is the day the Lord has and and I will rejoice and be glad in it

The Aaronic blessing was equated with the name of God Yahweh the Blessings of Christ indicate He has put His name on us

So as we emerge from the storms, sense a new day, a new beginning, a new dedication to God almighty who Has put His laws in our minds and in our hearts...may he truly Bless you and keep you.
