The Week That
Was
Isa 53: 5-11
The most Holy of weeks, the
events leading to the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus of
Nazareth, the Messiah!
The week that completed the new
Covenant and paved the way for our salvation.
The events begin some time before
the Passover celebration
- Lazarus raised from the dead
- He returned to Judea, where
they tried to stone Him

of God at the Feast of Dedication
- He was circumcised
at this feast
- He comforted the sisters
- Stated I Am the
resurrection and the life John 11:25
- Martha the one

- She came to believe
that Jesus was the Christ

started to look for a way to kill Him

Conclusion: So this week changed
history.

- I for one am glad
for the AD addoni dominai----in the year of our
Lord
- Without THIS week
there would be no Gospel, no resurrection, no
power over death no victory, no glorious
appearing for 40 days of a risen Savior, no hope
for mankind
- He came because of
our sins
