1. Intro.---if your gonna take a trip, you need a map to show the way, other wise you may get lost

1. Don’t want to end up somewhere you did not mean to go

1. in Baltimore yrs ago, I went to ride around to learn the streets, no map and ended in the highest crime area there was on a dead end street

1. asked directions,,he said where to, I said anywhere but here

1. didn’t know where I was and didn’t know where I was to go without the map

1. Can be in a wilderness and on the way to somewhere else

1. Israelites came out of Egypt on way to promised land----went thru wilderness and thought this aint it

1. they didn’t get in due to unbelief
2. they didn’t trust God or take Him at his word
3. but what they were going thru was not where they were going to

1. wandered for 40 years yet clothes nor shoes did not wear out Deut 29:5 and Deut 32:10 He found Him Jacob, in the wilderness and encompassed around him like the eagle that stirs up the nest to protect the young

1. as they went thru, God was there leading the way cause what they had to go thru was not where they were going to.
2. They had to learn to trust in God and follow His lead

1. Jhona in the whale, went the opposite way God told him

1. sat in the whale belly for a while
2. eventually did as God said and followed God

1. How to get out of the wilderness

1. follow Jesus
2. Jesus was led to the wilderness by the Holy Spirit said not a good place
3. Could be a time of teaching you by God what He wants you to know
4. Once He was successful in the tempting He came out of the wilderness
5. Fear not 366 times in Bible-trust not fear—baby in pool, Daddy says jump I’ll catch you, trust him to do it

Come to Him today, put your trust in him cause what you’re going thru is not where you’re going to---won’t know without him—He is the map!
